11/5/12 forgive yourself and sav

You have to (truly, wholly, with most difficulty) forgive yourself in order to get over an unresolved issue.

Sav-

Dude you always make me feel like I can do anything. How lucky is the world to have you?

11/4/12 selfless and the girls

Try to love others as you love yourself- you absolutely deserve the same.

my dearest darling lovely girls-

thank you for being the most precious and important things that could ever come to be. you make me want to be a better person and when you smile it makes everything okay. my mom used to make me feel that way; her positivity  helped me remember things are going to be okay. now you do. when mommy is having a bad day all i want to do is hold you and take a warm nap. when you fall asleep i watch you and admire how beautiful you are until I am so comfortable I drift off to sleep. you are magical people and my luck is beyond conceivable! that i get to be your momma.

i love you with every cell in my body and every mitochondria of those cells do too,

mommy

11/3/12 positive thinking and matt

If you're in a human relationship, sometimes you will be annoyed with a situation or your partner, and you're going to feel something like resentment or discontentment with your partner. Sometimes the resolution is lengthy or difficult and cannot be achieved in an immediate sense. If you are in a "rut" as I like to call it, I would like to suggest that you take 1-5 minutes of your day and just think positive thoughts about your life. Simple or complex, any positive thoughts on your life. Then take an equal amount of time to think of positive thoughts about your partner.

Matt-
Thank you for being my husband. You are a strong and brilliant man and your focus and determination is amazing. I hope for you that you find what you need to be truly content.

11/2/12 shut up and julie

When you want someone to share their thoughts with you, shut up. Shut your outward and inward selves up. Be aware of your breath like you're meditating. Listen to the person you've engaged. If what they are saying makes your mind wander, catch up with your breathing. Listen and feel yourself breath until you are centered in listening again. When you figure out how to be less distracted in intense environments you have achieved a little piece of enlightenment.

Shutting up is a powerful tool when you're an extrovert.

julie- thank you for bringing me feel better remedies when i was sick.

11/1/12- vulnerable and krissy

Being vulnerable is critical to your important relationships. Being vulnerable is honest and raw: you can find a person's values in the context of what they choose to share with you if they are doing so with vulnerability.

Being vulnerable can lead to pain but it can also lead to love.

november goals

i am going to post here everyday in november. no joke. i am going to think of a "truth" every day and post it alongside a thank you. also, on a personal note i am going to do a short gratitude meditation every day this month.
